Creamy, smoky, and irresistibly cheesy — this elevated mac & cheese brings comfort food to a whole new level. The subtle wood-smoked flavor of FreshJax® Smoked Cherrywood Sea Salt infuses every bite with savory depth and a gourmet twist.
12 oz elbow macaroni
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
2 cups milk
2 cups shredded cheddar
1 tsp FreshJax® Smoked Cherrywood Sea Salt
Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour to form a roux.
Gradually pour in milk, whisking until smooth and thickened.
Stir in cheddar cheese and Cherrywood Sea Salt until melted.
Combine with pasta, transfer to a baking dish, and bake at 375°F for 15 minutes if desired.
Notes: Sprinkle with breadcrumbs before baking for a crispy topping.
