Fuss-Free Comfort Food

Making authentic Mexican birria doesn't have to be complicated or take all day in the kitchen. This streamlined slow-cooker method simplifies the process to just a few basic steps: pour your broth and FreshJax Birria Seasoning directly into the crock pot, drop in your cubed beef chuck roast, and let it slow-cook on low until melt-in-your-mouth tender.

Customize to Your Taste

The beauty of this recipe is its scaleability—use 1 to 6 pounds of beef, pairing each pound with 1 cup of beef broth and 1 to 3 tablespoons of seasoning depending on your desired spice level (2 tablespoons per pound is the sweet spot!). Once shredded, serve it hot with warm corn tortillas, fresh diced onions, cilantro, and lime wedges.

Good to Know: For an extra layer of gourmet depth, sear your beef cubes in a hot skillet before adding them to the slow cooker to create a rich caramelized crust. Don't forget to skim and save the red chili fat from the broth to make crispy Quesabirria tacos!
