Elevate your seafood game with this elegant, flaky Garlic Vampepper Salmon. Salmon is a robust fish that can handle big flavors, making it the perfect canvas for the smoky, garlic-forward notes of Vampepper™. The heat from the pepper blend complements the natural healthy fats of the fish, while a squeeze of fresh lemon at the end wakes up the herbs. It’s a sophisticated, heart-healthy dinner that looks like you spent hours in the kitchen, even though it takes less than 20 minutes from start to finish.
Good to Know: To check for doneness without a thermometer, use a fork to gently press down on the top of the fillet. If the flakes of the salmon separate easily along the white lines (the fat), it’s perfectly cooked.
Ingredients
-
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin-on or skinless)
-
2 tbsp olive oil (or melted butter for richer flavor)
-
1 ½ tbsp FreshJax Vampepper Garlic Blend
-
1 tsp lemon zest
-
2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
-
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
-
Lemon wedges for serving
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with oil.
Season the salmon: Pat salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Brush both sides with olive oil or melted butter. Sprinkle Vampepper Garlic Blend evenly over the fillets, pressing lightly so it sticks.
Add citrus flavor: Drizzle lemon juice over the fillets and sprinkle with lemon zest.
Bake: Place salmon on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down if using skin-on fillets. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Garnish & Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
