Bold Flavor in Minutes
Unleash intense Mexican flavor in under 20 minutes of cooking time. Transforming FreshJax Birria seasoning into a quick rub with fresh lime juice and oil creates a thick marinade that coats the steak completely.
Juicy & Versatile
Sear the steak on a blazing-hot grill or cast-iron skillet to form a smoky, caramelized crust. Slice thin against the grain to serve in warm tacos, fajitas, or rice bowls.
Good to Know: The vinegar and tomato components in birria seasoning contain natural acids that actively break down tough muscle fibers, tenderizing lean cuts like flank or skirt steak quickly.
Ingredients
1.5 lbs skirt steak or flank steak
3 tbsp FreshJax Birria Seasoning
2 tbsp olive oil
Juice of 1 lime
2 cloves garlic, mashed into a paste
Directions
Pat the steak dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, whisk together the Birria seasoning, olive oil, lime juice, and garlic paste to form a thick marinade wet rub.
Rub the mixture over all sides of the steak. Let it marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes (or cover and refrigerate up to 4 hours).
Heat a cast-iron skillet or outdoor grill to high heat.
Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
Remove from heat and let the meat rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
