To help us celebrate the Launch of our NEW Shichimi Togarashi Japanese 7-Spice, we reached out to our FreshJax Friends to see what culinary creations they were excited to try. Grace replied with what we think is a perfect idea for really showcasing the flavors on display: Japanese Beef Stir Fry!

Ingredients
-
1.5 lbs. top sirloin steak cubed
-
2 bushels bok choy chopped
-
2 stalks celery chopped
-
2 cups sliced baby bella mushrooms
-
1/4 cup scallions
-
1/2 onion
-
2 garlic cloves
-
4 tbsp. FreshJax Shichimi Togarashi Seasoning
-
Salt to preference
-
3/4 cup beef broth
-
2 tbsp. olive oil
-
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Directions
Place beef in a crockpot the night before with 1/2 onion, garlic and water. Let cook on low 8 hours or cook on high 4-5 hours prior to making the dish. This assured meat was tender and dinner was made quicker.
Heat 1 tbsp. of olive oil in a skillet or wok, add meat and 2 tbsp. of FreshJax Shichimi Togarashi seasoning.
Fry until the meat is golden brown. Remove meat and place aside.
Add 1 tbsp. of oil to the same skillet, add vegetables. Add 2 tbsp. of FreshJax Shichimi Togarashi seasoning and cook until vegetables are semi tender, return meat to skillet
Whisk broth and cornstarch together, pour over meat and vegetables. Add salt to preference. Let cook for 5 minutes and serve with a side of rice. Enjoy!
Recipe Note
Not to toot our own horn too much, but....
Shichimi Togarashi seasoning also really perks up the white rice. There is no reason sides need can't be AWESOME too!
