      1. In a 10-inch ovenproof skillet, melt the 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar, FreshJax Organic Ginger, and FreshJax Organic Maple Cinnamon Spice Blend to the skillet. Stir until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture begins to bubble. Add the sliced pears to the skillet, arranging them in a circular pattern. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the pears start to caramelize and become tender. Remove from heat and set aside.

      1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, FreshJax Organic Ginger, and FreshJax Organic Maple Cinnamon Spice Blend. In a separate large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

      1. Carefully spoon the cake batter over the caramelized pears in the skillet, spreading it evenly to cover the pears. Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

      1. Allow the skillet cake to cool for a few minutes before carefully inverting it onto a serving platter. The caramelized pears will now be on top of the cake. Serve the caramelized ginger pear skillet cake warm. Optionally, you can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence.
