New "Grilling Picture Day" is seriously our favorite day at the office!
Whenever FreshJax Friend Marc (@ales.n.tails) shows us his latest culinary creation it's a "drop what you're doing moment". And we wouldn't trade that for the world!
This is seafood grilling that we can get behind. Pesto, Citrus Pepper, and cherry wood compliment the natural Salmon flavor. And when it looks this good, you know it will taste EVEN BETTER!

Ingredients
- 1 salmon filet, portioned
- FreshJax Citrus Pepper Blend
- 1/2 cup pesto sauce
- Cooking spray/oil
Directions
Pat salmon filets dry and season at least 1 hour before cooking, up to overnight. Place on a rack inside a tray and put into the fridge, uncovered.
Preheat your grill for medium-high heat, oil grates, and place salmon directly over the flame, skin side up for 30 seconds.
Move salmon away from the fire, skin side down, set grill temp to low, and cook indirectly until right before the white fats start to ooze out.
Brush filets with pesto sauce towards the end to allow it to set up just a bit.
Recipe Note
Using the right wood matters!
Marc (@ales.n.tails) suggests a good cherry wood to compliment the fish and with pictures this good, we trust him!
