How We Got Started
In 2010, The McDonald family committed to love themselves enough to live healthier and happier for 30 days. Those 30 days turned into weeks, months, and years of healthy living. Inspired to share the health and happiness they had found with others, Jason took a leap of faith and left his job to start FreshJax® in 2011.
They decided that to start a successful business they would need to start small and build a fan base in their hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. So they began making organic sauces and spices, selling them at our local farmer's market on the weekends while they attended grad school. Their favorite customers requested new and exciting items from them and the product line grew. By the fall of 2012, just one year later, the business had grown substantially. They worked day and night to fulfill orders. It was time for Hillary to take that same leap of faith and leave her career behind to dive into FreshJax® full time. In 2014 the McDonalds authored their first cookbook. Now they have a whole team of people at FreshJax® and together they still handcraft all of the delicious spice blends you're sure to love in Jacksonville, FL.
Who We Are
FreshJax® is a rapidly growing family business handcrafting organic spice blends in Jacksonville, Florida since 2011, with flavors from around the globe. We strive to make the world’s best organic spices using only pure, organic ingredients for flavorful, healthy seasonings that everyone can enjoy.
Our customers are why we do what we do. Many of our products have been created because a customer talked with us about a need they had in their own kitchen. Whether they were searching for a new flavor or wanted to simplify a favorite family recipe, we listened. By truly hearing the needs of our customers, we have been able to create pure, delicious flavors that are inspired by and used in kitchens around the world. It is because of this that each of our products has a unique story to tell.
All of our spices are gluten-free, certified organic, and certified Kosher, keeping us true to our mission of providing the very best to our customers. We currently offer more than 30 organic spice blends and over 40 organic single ingredient spices.
