What is that you say? We are glad you asked!

Gochugaru is a Korean red chili seasoning that can be either made into a powder or kept as a flake (we make and prefer the flake for full flavor) an can either be spicy (deol maewoon) or extra spicy (maewoon). Ours is the hotter variety!

And what do you make with this? Another good question!

This Spice is a staple of Korean Cuisine. It makes an excellent ingredient for marinades like the popular bulgogi. You can add it to the mix when fermenting kimchi, or even try it in a cold noodle salad. Anything that calls for a little spice and an excellent depth of flavor can benefit!

And is it Organic?

Of Course! Our Gochugaru Chili flakes are Certified Organic through AmeriCert, with no added ingredients, preservatives, or anti-caking agents.
